its too late for some
its too late for me
is this what art is suppose to be?
I draw the lines and follow the dream
as I watch my fellow artists scream
and as they all put out their hands
I hear the sound of far away lands
and children's voices in the wind
that carry me off to them
to lead them to a better place
where art and love are the new race

she heard voices from the planets
she heard voices from the stars
She had a new hat that talked to mars
and when she got tired of all the sounds
she threw the hat on the ground
why did she shut off all the noise?
she said the world was full of toys

and why should she listen to another voice?  I guess we all have that choice
