What is Pollyzoom?
“Pollyzoom” Allen’s illustrations and animations, evoke playful, energetic characters. For many years she has been the premier advocate and creator of innovative children’s programming. Producing over 500 exhibits with and for children in local, national and international venues.,
Born in upstate New York, her childhood was strongly intwined with nature in the 1000 Islands of New York State. Her love and respect for nature and wildlife is directly associated with a childhood along the St. Lawrence River.
Allen’s roots run deep in the local and international art community, as she continues to consult, create and produce major exhibits in visual and digital art. Receiving a Humanitarian of the Year Award in 2011 from the Tampa/Hillsborough County Human Rights Council and Nominated for Woman of the Year in Community Service in 2008 by the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce, Allen uses her creative talents to not only create innovative arts programming for children and families, but also to improve the lives of others embracing the power and movement of art.
The creative world of Pollyzoom stretches far beyond the digital screens and canvases of a gallery. Paula's work in Yoga and meditation has also influenced her work in the arts and in film. Certified in Yoga since 2008, Paula teaches Yoga and meditation classes to adults and children.
Paula received her MFA in Film in 2016 in the film program at Vermont College of Fine Art. Paula is currently creating an animated series for children.
