Paula  Allen is a multifaceted visual and digital artist based in Gulfport, Florida, where she leads the creative studio Pollyzoom LLC. With a practice spanning several decades, Allen integrates visual storytelling, writing, and digital technology to create impactful art experiences. Her work often centers on environmental advocacy and community engagement, as seen in her environmental film projects like Beehold and her work with children to highlight ecological issues. Allen's artistic journey includes a significant focus on visual narratives, particularly her Journal Dress series which uses the symbolic childhood dress as a canvas for exploring identity and memory. Her practice extends to large-scale public art, including international mural exchanges in Jordan and Australia, and digital billboard exhibitions in the Tampa Bay area. As an educator, she facilitates workshops and collaborative projects that connect art with environmental stewardship. Under the Pollyzoom brand, Allen produces animation, fine art, and literature, including books like Drawings and Poems II. Her work has been recognized in various publications and exhibitions, reflecting a commitment to using creative media as a tool for education and social change.
