Plastic Confession FLIPACLIP ( I made this very quickly as an example of a straw that had been at a holiday party...see clip below
it was blown away before it got into trash ended up in the ocean and killed a fish. Many of the stories are the same....what is your plastic characters story? Is your character ANGRY, SAD, BLANK, EVIL?
Is your plastic character a victim or is it happy it is going to destroy the ocean? Whats more scary then a plastic bag that looks CUTE and INNOCENT yet will kill a sea turtle or a fish or anything in the sea that eats it.

Pick a cup, straw, plastic bag and do the following
Design a character in a drawing app or in Flip a Clip and then tell the back story
example I was a plastic bag at the supermarket proud of my job carrying groceries
then on the way home I ripped, I will never forget the experience and it was raining I fell into a sewer and then from their I need up here in the ocean....( who eats it?) what happened?)

Animating original characters in layers
examples: Pink is layer one can you figure out the other layers?
if you make your character on layer one as a basic layout/ See below in Red and you keep that layer but you animate on top of that you will successfully be able to keep your character in the same perspective.
However this can also be done drawing on a moving video layer as well. Below Is a video to film to draw on top of today.
